Abdullah Bin Zayed Explores Strengthening Collaborative Relations and Partnerships with Several Foreign Ministers in New York

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, held individual meetings in New York with several foreign ministers attending the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his discussions, he met with Vu Duc Dam, the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam; Alexander Schallenberg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria; Margus Tsahkna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia; Dr. Abdullah Sabri Fadl, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, International Cooperation, and Chadians Abroad; David van Ven, the Dutch Foreign Minister; Mario Lopez, the Foreign Minister of Uruguay; and Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad of Morocco.

The meetings addressed various topics on the agenda of the UN General Assembly, focusing on strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation and partnerships across multiple sectors including economic, trade, and investment, as well as matters related to food security, health, culture, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, renewable energy, and climate change.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE’s commitment to multilateral cooperation as a fundamental approach to addressing shared challenges and fostering dialogue and understanding among nations. This cooperation aims to promote values of tolerance and coexistence while fulfilling the aspirations of people for a prosperous future filled with development opportunities.

Additionally, Sheikh Abdullah discussed current developments at both regional and international levels, particularly regarding the Middle East and its implications for global peace and security.

Present at the meetings were Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and the UAE’s Special Envoy for Climate Change; Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State; Imran Sharif, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs for Technology and Advanced Sciences; and Omar Ghobash, Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
