Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Vice President of Dubai and Head of the Dubai Media Council, has proposed an expansion of the Mohammed bin Rashid Scholarship for Media Students to include prestigious universities. He emphasized the council’s dedication to cultivating a new generation of media professionals who represent Dubai’s spirit, reflect its international leadership, and communicate its message to the world.
During a recent meeting of the Dubai Media Council, which he chaired, various projects and initiatives were discussed that outline the future direction of media aligned with Dubai’s ambitions and vision.
The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of a training program conducted in the United Kingdom, part of the “Media Leadership Program,” attended by a select group of communications leaders from 25 government and semi-government entities in Dubai.
Updates regarding the Mohammed bin Rashid Scholarship for Media Students were also presented during the session.
In a post on the social platform “X,” he stated: “Today, I chaired a meeting of the Dubai Media Council where we discussed projects and initiatives shaping the future of media to meet Dubai’s ambitions and reflect its future vision. We also reviewed the outcomes of the training program in the UK, which was conducted as part of the Media Leadership Program, with the participation of key communications leaders from various government and semi-government entities in Dubai.”
Additionally, he remarked: “We reviewed updates regarding the Mohammed bin Rashid Scholarship for Media Students and directed that its scope be expanded to include well-regarded universities. We are committed to nurturing a media generation that embodies Dubai’s spirit, showcases its global leadership, and conveys its message through the voice of its people.”
