Ajman’s Ruler and Crown Prince Attend Eid al-Adha Prayer at Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Mosque

His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, along with His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, attended the Eid al-Adha prayer today at Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Mosque in Ajman.

Joining them in the prayer were Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Representative of the Ruler for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Department of Tourism Development, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Municipality and Planning Department, Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Deputy Chairman of Ajman Sports Club, Sheikh Saqr bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, and His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Head of the Diwan of the Ruler of Ajman, among other dignitaries and citizens.

The prayer was led by Sheikh Abdullah Mohammed Al Qaydi, who in his sermon prayed for God to bless the occasion and sustain safety, stability, and joy for the UAE and its leaders, and for goodwill and kindness among its people.

The sermon emphasized that sincerity is both a deeply rooted faith value and a national virtue celebrated during this festival, embodying the essence of pilgrimage, which is fundamentally about intention and commitment. It was noted that sincerity signifies pure intention and genuine action, much like the purification of gold from impurities and the clarification of water from sediments.

The meaning of sincerity as a covenant between the servant and the Lord was highlighted, with the highest form being sincerity to God, which is the foundation of worship, the key to acceptance, and essential for drawing closer to Him, as reflected in the verse: “So worship Allah, sincere to Him in religion.”

The sermon also discussed the highest expressions of sincerity, particularly loyalty to the homeland, which includes love for it, serving it diligently, protecting its reputation, adhering to its laws, preserving its customs and traditions, taking pride in its heritage, and striving to promote goodness throughout its lands while defending its territory and safeguarding its achievements. The congregation was reminded to consistently pray for their nation’s prosperity, in accordance with the divine saying, “Our Lord, make this city safe.”

It was stressed that an individual’s sincerity within their family positively impacts the entire fabric of society, unifying it like a single body characterized by cooperation and compassion. Community members are encouraged to connect with one another during the holiday, sharing love and joy among family, relatives, neighbors, and friends, and embracing this holiday as a celebration of dedication to both society and the homeland, which has achieved remarkable successes and laid strong foundations for prosperity.

In conclusion, the preacher prayed for the Almighty to make this holiday a time of joy and happiness, to protect the UAE and its wise leadership, and to bless the founders and martyrs of the nation.

After the prayer, His Highness the Ruler of Ajman and His Highness the Crown Prince exchanged congratulations with the gathered worshippers, who also prayed for their health and happiness and for continued blessings upon the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations.
