The Benevolent House Charity has distributed over 316,000 bottles of water as part of its humanitarian initiative, “Water Supply,” since the beginning of this year. This effort has reached more than 768 mosques in Dubai, alongside numerous work sites housing large numbers of workers. The water was provided through 24,400 cartons, bringing the total distributed since the project launched in 2023 to approximately 204,000 cartons.
The primary goal of the “Water Supply” project is to offer cold drinking water to worshippers at mosques and prayer areas, as well as to workers residing at their job sites, especially during the summer months when temperatures soar. This initiative aims to alleviate the hardships faced by these groups and ensure their basic needs are met during extremely hot periods.
The “Water Supply” project stands out as one of the key initiatives by the charity, reflecting its commitment to the principles of giving and social solidarity. It is inspired by the prophetic saying, “The best charity is to give water.” The charity aims to reach as many mosques and essential locations frequented by the community and working individuals, particularly those who lack easy access to cold drinking water during work or prayer times.
To promote community involvement, the Benevolent House Charity offers various flexible and accessible ways to donate and support the project. This includes online donations through the charity’s official website and its mobile app, purchasing donation vouchers valued at 10 dirhams, and the ability to donate via SMS for the same amount by texting to the number 2311. These options are designed to make it easier for anyone wishing to contribute to this charitable initiative.
