Collaboration Between Dubai Municipality and “Parkin” to Enhance Public Parking Services and Operational Efficiency

The Dubai Municipality has joined forces with Parkin, the leading provider of public parking facilities and services in Dubai, by signing a memorandum of understanding. This partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in enhancing the municipality’s public parking services, improving operational efficiency, and creating an optimal regulatory and technical environment to elevate the quality of services available to the community.

Present at the signing ceremony were Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, and Ahmad Hashem Bahrozyan, Chairman of Parkin. The agreement was signed by Badr Anouhi, Executive Director of the Public Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin.

The memorandum outlines various areas of collaboration between the two parties, including the development of standards for land designated for parking, and streamlining the issuance of permits and regulatory approvals for operational and trial initiatives.

Additionally, it covers the provision of planning data and relevant geographical information about parking, enhancing the exchange of expertise to establish standards for the use of private lands as parking, thus improving service quality, supporting strategic plans, and managing Dubai Municipality’s free parking through the company.

Furthermore, the memorandum stipulates the exploration of investment opportunities for establishing and operating multi-storey buildings and parking facilities, alongside examining the feasibility of managing existing designated parking areas under the municipality.

Future cooperation opportunities will include managing event parking through traffic management services, vehicle parking, providing monitors and field supervisors, and offering automatic payment solutions at facility entrances and exits.

Comprehensive Infrastructure

Badr Anouhi, Executive Director of the Public Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, stated that this memorandum aligns with the municipality’s efforts to develop a comprehensive infrastructure for its public parking in Dubai, in line with the city’s vision for a smart and sustainable future.

Through this collaboration, we aim to simplify operational procedures and enhance the quality of services offered to visitors of Dubai Municipality facilities, in addition to supporting the emirate’s strategic goals in areas of sustainability and comprehensive urban planning that contributes to improving quality of life across various dimensions.

Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, emphasized that this partnership with Dubai Municipality reflects Parkin’s commitment to supporting the emirate’s ambitions for a smarter and more sustainable future.

Leveraging our extensive experience in managing and operating public parking, and in harmony with the municipality’s strategic vision, we strive to develop an integrated infrastructure that enhances urban mobility efficiency and supports the objectives of the Dubai Urban Plan 2040.
