His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, inaugurated the Seih Kabda Council yesterday. This facility is designed to serve the local community by providing a fully equipped space that fosters social connections, allowing residents to hold various events with ease. The council, accommodating approximately 200 individuals, is part of the initiative led by His Highness to establish community councils across the emirate’s regions. The aim is to enhance programs that strengthen community ties, promote national identity, and encourage participation in local and religious events, while also alleviating the burdens on citizens through the provision of social and economic support services.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his joy at being able to share the opening of this vital facility with the residents of Seih Kabda. He emphasized that the council plays a significant role in promoting social cohesion through various initiatives and programs it hosts. It provides a unique space for community gatherings and events, thus preserving the authentic Emirati values of solidarity, support, and transferring these traditions from one generation to the next. Additionally, it aims to instill a sense of patriotism and loyalty to the wise leadership of the nation.
He noted that this initiative is part of the “Year of Community” declared by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, which is themed “Together Hand in Hand.” This campaign seeks to strengthen unity and bonds among the residents of the UAE by preserving cultural heritage, enhancing intergenerational communication, and creating inclusive spaces that reinforce cooperation, belonging, and shared experiences. These efforts will promote mutual support, drive collective progress, and ensure sustainable growth.
Alongside His Highness during the opening were Sheikh Arhama bin Saud bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office of Ras Al Khaimah, and Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Saud bin Khalid Al Qasimi, the Private Secretary to the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah.
