Cybersecurity Council Participates in Japan Expo 2025
The Cybersecurity Council, in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), is showcasing the country’s pavilion at the Japan Expo 2025 in Osaka, where it has already welcomed over three million visitors, establishing itself as a leading national pavilion in attracting crowds.
Under the theme “From Earth to Ether,” the pavilion offers visitors an enriching experience that embodies the rich legacy of the nation alongside its ambitious vision for collective global progress.
The Cybersecurity Council and NCEMA participated in the pavilion’s activities during the event by hosting a series of discussions and interactive sessions focused on cybersecurity and the rapidly evolving digital threats.
Key Discussions and Sessions
The discussions aimed to enhance international collaboration in sharing expertise and information regarding cybersecurity issues and emerging digital threats.
As part of the pavilion’s program at Expo 2025 in Japan, the Cybersecurity Council and NCEMA organized a series of sessions that involved international delegations along with cybersecurity experts and specialists.
The council’s activities commenced with a specialized tour for invited delegations within the pavilion, which showcased key innovations and projects from the UAE in the fields of cybersecurity and crisis management.
A notable session focused on “Cybersecurity Diplomacy and Global Cooperation Models,” which addressed international efforts to facilitate the exchange of regional and global expertise in combating cyber threats.
The council also hosted a session titled “National Cybersecurity: Preparing for Threats from Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things.”
Aly Saeed Al Neyadi, Chairman of NCEMA, emphasized that the expo aims to unify efforts and enhance international experience sharing, ensuring a more efficient response to current and future challenges.
Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, stressed the importance of adopting a proactive approach to tackle rapidly evolving cyber threats, leveraging artificial intelligence, and utilizing machine learning to identify anomalies, cybercrimes, and potential attacks, thus strengthening immediate response capabilities.
