Dubai Municipality Earned 11 Local and International Awards in the First Quarter of 2025

The Dubai Municipality has successfully secured 11 awards at both local and international levels across various key sectors during the first quarter of the current year. These accolades reflect the municipality’s ongoing efforts to enhance municipal operations and innovative services catering to a diverse population in the Emirate of Dubai.

Among the awards, Dubai Municipality was recognized with the Agile Business Award, organized by the Business Agility Consortium, for demonstrating excellence in comprehensive business agility at the highest tier of the award levels.

Furthermore, it received recognition in the category of overall business resilience. This award signifies Dubai Municipality’s commitment to adopting business agility as a foundational approach to ensure readiness and swift adaptability.

Additionally, it was honored with the Global Distinguished Innovator (GDI) award from the Global Innovation Institute (GInI) in the public sector category, in acknowledgment of the “Montaji” initiative. This smart digital platform for consumer product registration has played a significant role in expediting product registration, enhancing oversight, and minimizing the carbon footprint, thus improving product transparency and safety in the market.

Moreover, the municipality won the 2025 Intersec Award in the category of Champions in Fire Safety and Security, recognizing its notable contributions to advancing health and safety standards within the emirate and promoting safety culture, ultimately aiming to create safer and more sustainable work environments and enhancing community quality of life.

Dubai Municipality achieved first place at the Global Chemical Engineers Organization Awards in the renewable energy sector, as well as second place for education and development, through its virtual reality and simulation training system implemented at the Jebel Ali Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Its initiative focused on excellence and leadership in public procurement garnered the 2025 Global Excellence Award for innovative technology use and major innovation from the Grand Business Awards.

This initiative aimed at designing digital transformation to deliver the best innovative technological solutions for strategic procurement processes, thereby enhancing service efficiency and quality while reducing costs.

Additionally, Dubai Municipality was awarded the title of Best Luxury Beach Management in the UAE at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, recognizing its initiative to enhance the visitor experience at public beaches by providing comprehensive services that cater to all community segments, including tourists and individuals with disabilities. The municipality also received several categories from the Emirati Ideas Award and the International Arab Ideas Award, celebrating its initiatives and achievements across various domains of municipal work.

Significantly, the municipality achieved remarkable success by winning five categories at the British Safety Council Awards, reflecting its unwavering commitment to fostering a safety culture and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees, partners, visitors, and individuals with disabilities through an integrated system adhering to global standards, in line with the municipality’s vision of being a leading authority for a global city. It also received the Excellence in Customer Service 2025 award from the Business Intelligence Group and the “Sustainability Project of the Year” award at the Middle East and North Africa Project Control Exhibition for its strategic tree-planting and open space initiative.
