The Dubai Police have successfully dismantled a gang of 15 individuals who were promoting candy-flavored drugs through social media platforms.
During a press briefing, Brigadier Dr. Abdulrahman Sharaf Al-Amri, Director of the International Protection Center at the General Department for Drug Control, revealed that the total amount of drugs seized exceeded 48 kilograms.
He emphasized the critical role of awareness initiatives in educating the community about the dangers of falling prey to suspicious advertisements.
Last year, the awareness campaigns reached over 279,000 students in schools, in addition to 20,000 university students and social workers in educational institutions, highlighting their significant contribution to the school environment.
