Dubai Police Hosts Workshop for Candle Making for Children with Special Needs

The Council of Positivity and the Council for Empowering Individuals with Determination, associated with the General Command of Dubai Police, organized a unique workshop titled “Candle Making” for children with determination visiting the International Expo for Individuals with Determination, alongside a group of students from Protection Schools. This initiative aims to support this community segment and promote their positive integration into society.

The workshop, held during the events of the Expo for Individuals with Determination which commenced yesterday at the World Trade Center, witnessed extensive participation from various governmental and private entities. Its objective was to enhance the sensory and artistic skills of children through an engaging interactive experience that combines creativity with hands-on activities. This aids in developing their concentration abilities and artistic expression while building their confidence through the creation of tangible products made by themselves.

During the workshop, children actively participated in designing and coloring candles in a variety of shapes and colors, all within a stimulating atmosphere characterized by collaboration and happiness, under the guidance of a specialized team from Dubai Police and council members.

Organizers of the workshop emphasized that such initiatives reflect Dubai Police’s humanitarian and community-oriented approach in supporting individuals with determination, providing them the opportunity to acquire new skills that embody the values of tolerance and positivity that define Dubai.

The goal of the workshop was to enhance the awareness of children with determination, equipping them with essential skills in a smooth manner while involving them in responsibility. It also aimed to strengthen their awareness, enhance their sensory skills, and improve their response speed in learning new concepts and skills.
