Dubai Police Showcases Experience in Empowering People of Determination in the Job Market

The General Command of Dubai Police, represented by the Empowerment Council for People of Determination, participated in an awareness event organized by the Business Ethics Center under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. The aim of the event was to equip the business community with knowledge and best practices essential for integrating individuals with disabilities into the workforce.

Hamda Bazouir, a member of the Empowerment Council for People of Determination and a certified trainer with the Dubai Police, as well as an accessibility specialist from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) in the United States, delivered a lecture on Dubai Police’s policies for the integration and empowerment of people with disabilities both within the organization and in the wider community. The focus was on providing accessible services and solutions that improve inclusivity and ease of access for these individuals.

Hamda Bazouir emphasized, “Dubai Police prioritizes individuals with disabilities in its agenda and operational strategies. Through the Empowerment Council, we align our initiatives with Dubai Police’s strategic directions to enhance community happiness, support the national policy for empowering people of determination, and endorse the initiative ‘My Community… A Place for Everyone’ to transform Dubai into a fully inclusive city for individuals with disabilities.”

She further remarked that the council adopts a comprehensive inclusion policy for people of determination with various types of disabilities, aiming to empower and equip them in partnership with stakeholders. It also ensures the protection of their rights by providing equal opportunities and involving them at all community, professional, and academic levels.
