Dubai Press Highlights Skills for Creating Digital Content that Enhances Community Health Awareness

The “Content Creators in Health and Science” program, organized by the Dubai Press Club in collaboration with Dubai Health, continues its sessions focused on enhancing the skills of youth and content creators in the health communication field. The initiative aims to provide them with essential technical knowledge, enabling the delivery of accurate information in a simplified language that combines scientific credibility with visual appeal, in line with the latest trends in digital media and smart technologies.

The program, which commenced on October 6, serves as an interactive platform uniting experts, medical professionals, journalists, and content creators to share experiences and learn best practices for producing trustworthy health content. This effort supports the enhancement of community awareness regarding public health and quality of life, reflecting Dubai’s vision and endeavors to promote specialized Arabic content and reaffirm its position as a key media development hub.

As part of the program, MediaCast provided a session focusing on the fundamentals and techniques of digital medical content production. Mandooh Qaddour, Technical Solutions Manager, and Alaa Nuwar, Business Development Manager at the company, covered a range of crucial topics regarding the basics and techniques of health content production in the digital media landscape.

Participants in the Health and Science Content Creators program learned the essentials of editing and post-production using DaVinci Resolve, followed by a discussion on exploring artificial intelligence tools and how to utilize them in creating impactful content, including speech transcription techniques and automatic tracking.

Creative Medical Narratives

Furthermore, the “Edraak Media Academy” hosted a lecture by creative writer Ashraf Al-Tantawy on the topic of creative medical storytelling. He emphasized the importance of thoroughly understanding the target audience as a first step to help content creators select the most suitable approach for each segment of their audience. Al-Tantawy also discussed the significance of articulating ideas in a smooth and engaging manner.

Creativity as a Path to Success

The session led by the Edraak Media Academy focused on the importance of paying attention to every detail of the visual and auditory experience and how to optimally employ both sound and images to effectively convey medical messages. Additionally, there was a discussion regarding the necessity of mastering creative techniques in writing medical content.

In another session, Mohamed Bush, Production Manager at the Edraak Media Academy, explored the basics of photography in creating digital content. He covered composition rules, lighting techniques, and how to successfully utilize artistic elements related to photography to shape the content creator’s persona.

The program also highlighted the importance of tapping into the experiences of successful content creators. Shihab Al-Hashimi, a popular content creator with a significant following of approximately 1.2 million on Instagram, shared key insights from his journey, focusing on interactive educational content with the audience. The program featured Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Zaher, CEO of the Artificial Intelligence Journalism Foundation, who spoke about AI techniques and their application in creating innovative health and science content, discussing the considerable impact of AI when appropriately integrated into successful digital content creation.

A Recipe for Success

Blinx platform, represented by Sami Tabshouri, Head of Strategy, shared a recipe for success in building million-follower digital accounts. He inspired the audience with ideas about tools and techniques to understand audience interests and behaviors and methods for analyzing social media platforms to comprehend follower preferences.

He also discussed how to transform numbers into strategies through careful and insightful reading of statistics, relying on data analysis tools to understand account performance, measure engagement levels, and identify content strengths and weaknesses to enhance overall quality.
