The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has been awarded the title of “Champion of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2025” for its innovative project, the “Digital Employee Experience,” in the category of e-recruitment.

This recognition highlights the Authority’s commitment to outstanding global initiatives that accelerate digital transformation.

During the recent tenth session of the World Summit on the Information Society held in Geneva, Switzerland, with substantial support from the United Nations, numerous delegations and experts in information technology and telecommunications from around the globe were in attendance.

The “Digital Employee Experience” initiative, launched as part of the UAE government’s efforts to eliminate bureaucracy, aims to provide a seamless and innovative digital experience for federal government employees. This approach leverages artificial intelligence to ensure alignment with the latest global design trends through user-friendly, tailored interfaces to meet the specific needs of each employee.

Significant Advancement

Since its inception, the project has created a significant transformation, yielding positive results by enabling an efficient digital journey for over 80,000 employees across 35 federal entities. The initiative has streamlined processes by reducing the number of steps required to complete HR services by 58% compared to the previous system, while also shortening service delivery times by 56%.

Moreover, it has facilitated the integration of the digital employee interface with other digital systems across governmental entities and enhanced the speed of response to inquiries through a smart assistant, which has improved the efficiency and speed of AI-supported service delivery.

Digital Transformation

Her Excellency Ohood Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, and Chairperson of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, emphasized the importance of enhancing government flexibility and readiness, empowering talents, and developing the capabilities of government personnel.

Improving employee experiences with innovative digital solutions backed by artificial intelligence is a key focus for the UAE government and reflects its ongoing commitment to digital transformation across various sectors.

Her Excellency Ohood Al Roumi remarked that the recognition of the Digital Employee Experience project as a “Champion of the World Summit on the Information Society 2025” stands as a global testament to the UAE government’s leadership and its advanced approach to modernizing work structures and driving efforts aimed at sustainable governmental evolution, thereby enhancing governmental preparedness for future challenges.

Faissal Saeed bin Batty Al-Mahiri, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, stated that the Digital Employee Experience project is an integral part of the UAE government’s mission to eliminate bureaucracy and enhance the government’s human resources system via intelligent, integrated digital solutions supported by artificial intelligence.

He noted that the Authority has developed the digital employee experience through user-friendly digital interfaces, which are digitally connected to various systems across governmental entities, thereby enhancing the overall employee experience.

This initiative not only boosts operational efficiency but also aligns with the government’s continuous development and modernization efforts, enhancing workforce competitiveness and effectiveness. The Authority remains dedicated to fully empowering UAE government employees with digital solutions while fostering an environment supportive of national talents and encouraging active engagement in shaping the future of government work.

Innovative Initiative

The award-winning project provides an innovative model that enables employees to access human resources services smartly and efficiently through an integrated digital platform supported by artificial intelligence. This internal development is centered on user needs and works to simplify procedures to enhance the overall employee experience, aligning with the UAE government’s goal of eradicating bureaucracy.

The project also promotes digital sustainability by reducing reliance on paper-based processes and traditional resources through complete process automation and integration with relevant federal and local entities, contributing to lower carbon footprints and improving the quality of life for employees through streamlined procedures.
