The Federal National Council’s Education, Culture, Youth, Sports, and Media Committee convened a meeting yesterday in Dubai, chaired by Dr. Adnan Hamad Al Hammadi, to discuss the government’s policy regarding the quality of life for teaching staff and its impact on educational outcomes. Present at the meeting was the Minister of Education, Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri.
Committee members included Dr. Mariam Obaid Al Muhairi, the committee rapporteur, along with Amina Ali Al Marzooqi, Aisha Khamees Al Zhanahani, Dr. Moza Mohammed Al Shahi, and Najla Ali Al Shamsi. Also in attendance was Dr. Saif Saeed Al Mehairi, the assistant secretary-general for legislation and oversight within the council.
The Minister outlined the strategic objectives of the education ministry, addressing sector challenges, priority areas for bridging educational gaps, and establishing a stable framework for long-term educational development.
The committee reviewed observations and recommendations presented in the report related to the discussion topics, which included government policies aimed at enhancing the quality of life for educational personnel, the work environment affecting this quality, and the laws governing the quality of life for teachers.
