Emergency and crisis management teams in Ras Al Khaimah have successfully contained a large fire that broke out in a factory located in the Al Hulaila Industrial Area. This achievement came after nearly five hours of intensive on-site response efforts in collaboration with more than 16 federal and local agencies.
Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Neyadi, Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police and head of the local emergency and crisis team, confirmed that the fire was brought under control without any reported injuries. He highlighted that the prompt response and effective coordination among the field teams played a crucial role in managing the incident.
He further explained that as soon as the fire was reported, a joint emergency plan was activated. Civil defense units and support teams from nearby emirates, along with specialized technical teams, quickly moved to the incident site, bringing together over 16 federal and local agencies to participate in firefighting, cooling operations, and evacuations.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police Chief noted that the response was characterized by cohesive institutional collaboration and precise coordination in executing tasks, which enabled teams to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent factories and warehouses.
Additionally, he mentioned that technical teams from the laboratories and forensic evidence department began their work at the site immediately after the fire was extinguished. They are responsible for analyzing samples to identify potential causes of the fire and assessing the physical damages incurred by the factory, working closely with relevant authorities.
Major General Bin Alwan expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all agencies involved in the response, commending the teamwork and institutional spirit displayed by the teams. He affirmed that the success in controlling this significant fire reflects the high level of preparedness to face emergencies and crises in Ras Al Khaimah.
