On Tuesday, the Israeli ambulance service reported that four individuals lost their lives and two others sustained injuries following an Iranian missile attack in southern Israel, occurring just moments before a ceasefire was set to take effect between the two nations.
According to a statement from Magen David Adom, “After a missile struck southern Israel, our teams have confirmed the deaths of four people, while two individuals with moderate injuries were transported to the hospital. Approximately six others are being treated for minor injuries at the scene.”
The Israeli ambulance service did not disclose the exact location of the strike; however, local media indicated it occurred near the southern region of Be’er Sheva.
The Israeli military stated that multiple waves of Iranian missiles were launched early Tuesday over a span of about two hours, with air raid sirens sounding in Tel Aviv and other locations throughout northern and southern Israel.
The Israeli armed forces reported that their air defense systems successfully intercepted more than 500 rockets fired from Iran, as well as approximately one thousand drones targeting the country.
