Hamdan Bin Mohammed: Constant Progress to Establish the Name of the Emirates Among the Stars

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, met with representatives of national companies operating in the space sector in the country. This meeting is part of his commitment to supporting the continuous efforts to develop the national space system and enhance the UAE’s position as a leading global center in the space economy.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of true partnership and strategic cooperation between the government and private sectors to build an advanced and innovative space system. He expressed confidence in the exceptional capabilities of companies and entrepreneurs in driving progress in the national space economy, positioning the UAE as a preferred global destination in this vital and strategic sector.

The private sector leads the space scene in the UAE, showcasing mature national investments that have solidified over three decades. Sheikh Hamdan expressed his vision for the country to be a significant partner in global space efforts for a better tomorrow for humanity.

During the meeting, various Emirati and international companies specialized in IoT solutions, artificial intelligence, remote sensing, commercial space system development, robotics applications, satellite-based precise land monitoring data, artificial intelligence systems, robots, and interactive simulation, as well as reusable space launch systems, participated. Sheikh Hamdan reviewed their current projects, long-term strategic plans, and contributions to the national economy.

The companies reaffirmed their full commitment to supporting the UAE’s space sector goals, expanding their businesses within the country, and enhancing their contribution to the national innovation, research, and development ecosystem. They praised the flexible regulatory environment and advanced infrastructure in the UAE as key attractions for continuing investment and developing future space projects.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Space, and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, along with key individuals from prominent companies in the space industry.
