The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences participated in the 10th Conference on Giftedness and Excellence, held at Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey, which brought together a selection of scientists, experts, and educational practitioners.
The session featured Dr. Mariam Al Ghaoui, Director of the Hamdan Center for Talent and Innovation, who highlighted the foundation’s experience in developing educational environments that promote talent and innovation. She emphasized the center’s vision of creating flexible educational systems based on scientific research to enhance creative thinking and academic excellence among gifted students.
Dr. Al Ghaoui also pointed out the specialized initiatives led by the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center, which include talent identification programs, the design of specialized enrichment units, and the application of artificial intelligence and modern technologies to support tailored educational pathways.
The conference touched on the center’s efforts in establishing international partnerships and connecting scientific research with educational policies to achieve sustainable impacts both nationally and regionally.
The session was moderated by Shaukat Basha Kamahli, a senior specialist in the Turkish Ministry of National Education, and it engaged attendees particularly regarding strategies for integrating giftedness into national development plans and the challenges of balancing equity and excellence in education.
