Hamid bin Rashid: “Union Day” Marks a Pivotal Moment Where Founding Leaders Demonstrated Unmatched Unity

His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, stated that July 18th each year, known as “Union Day,” marks a historic occasion for the United Arab Emirates. On this day, we reflect with gratitude on the meeting that brought together the late founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow rulers, signaling the birth of our blessed union and the signing of our cherished constitution.

His Highness emphasized that “Union Day” is not just a commemoration, but a confirmation of a pivotal moment where our founding leaders showcased the greatest examples of unity. They instilled in their successors the values of loyalty and belonging, allowing the UAE to embark on a fruitful civilizational journey under wise leadership that embraced wisdom as its guide and ambition as its approach, rendering our nation an exemplar in development, progress, and global standing.

In his address for “Union Day,” His Highness remarked: “On this glorious national day, we proudly celebrate this occasion and honor the values of unity established by our founding fathers.”

Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi continued: “As we remember this meaningful occasion today, we extend the highest greetings and sincere sentiments of love and pride to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, may God safeguard him, as well as to their brethren, the esteemed members of the Supreme Council and rulers of the Emirates, and to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Court. We also convey our heartfelt regards to the gracious people of the UAE, praying that the Almighty grants us all the blessing of this glorious day, with our nation enjoying further stability, security, and prosperity.

Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi stated: “On this day, we renew our vow of loyalty to the union, reaffirming our commitment to sincerely safeguard the nation’s achievements, strengthen its unity, and instill its noble values concerning development, giving, and community cohesion.”

He concluded by saying: “We ask God to continue bestowing security, pride, and stability upon the UAE and to guide its leadership in all endeavors that promote the elevation of this nation and the well-being of its esteemed citizens.”
