His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Dubai Chambers, and His Excellency Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, Chairman of the University of Dubai’s Board of Trustees, celebrated the graduation of the 22nd cohort of students with the theme “Class of the Community.” A total of 286 graduates from various degree programs, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate levels, were honored, comprising 225 UAE nationals and 61 expatriates from 22 different nationalities.
The ceremony took place at the La Perle theater in Habtoor City, Dubai, for the second consecutive year, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
Attendees included Dr. Majid Hamad Al Shamsi, former Chairman of the University of Dubai Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Marwan bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, and Hisham Al Shirawi, former Vice Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Also in attendance were Dr. Issa Al Bastaki, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Hussein Al Ahmad, Vice President of the University, alongside many officials, deans, faculty members, staff, graduates, and a large number of parents and family members.
During his welcoming speech, His Excellency Al Mansoori congratulated the graduates on their achievements, urging them to be exemplars of dedication, openness, and community service. His Excellency Al Mansoori, along with Dr. bin Fahad and Dr. Al Bastaki, distributed diplomas to the graduates amidst a vibrant celebratory atmosphere.
In his remarks, Dr. Rashid bin Fahad congratulated the graduates, praising their dedication and perseverance. He highlighted that graduating in the “Year of the Community” holds a special significance reflecting the university’s commitment to its social responsibilities.
