The escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza has intensified global pressure on Israel to cease its military operations.
According to reports from a major newspaper, the frequency of Jewish protests demanding the end of the conflict and increased humanitarian corridors has surged recently, particularly among American Jewish groups and organizations.
The British publication noted that pro-Israel organizations, such as the American Jewish Committee and the Reform Movement in North America, have expressed deep concern regarding the ongoing military escalation and humanitarian situation, urging immediate action to alleviate civilian suffering.
It was reported that over 120 rabbis have signed a letter calling for Israel to permit more aid into Gaza, highlighting a shift in public support for the Israeli government within the United States.
In related news, the U.S. envoy to the Middle East mentioned that Hamas is open to disarming, and that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is committed to ending the conflict.
However, Hamas has denied any intention of disarming prior to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defense has reported that 32 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli military fire, as bombing and airstrikes continue in the region.
