The Israeli body responsible for coordinating activities in Gaza and the West Bank (Coordination and Liaison Administration) reported that over the past week, approximately 1,900 trucks of aid were collected and distributed from the Palestinian side at the Kerem Shalom and Zikim crossings.
The agency, operating under the Ministry of Defense, noted that more than 1,310 trucks, primarily loaded with food supplies, entered Gaza this week, according to the Times of Israel on Sunday.
They added, “We will continue to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza for the civilian population—not for Hamas.”
Israel has accused aid organizations of failing to receive assistance that remains within Gaza, while the organizations have blamed Israel for not allowing safe passage.
United Nations estimates indicate that between 500 and 600 aid trucks are required daily to meet the needs of Gaza’s population, which exceeds two million.
