The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that Jordan will host a joint meeting on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Syria.
In their statement, they said: “The Hashemite Kingdom will hold a joint Jordanian-Syrian-American meeting to address the circumstances in Syria and explore ways to support the country’s reconstruction based on principles that ensure its security, stability, and sovereignty, meet the aspirations of its people, and uphold the rights of all Syrians.”
The meeting is set to include the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Shabaan, the United States Ambassador to Turkey, and the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, Thomas Barak, along with representatives from the relevant institutions of all three countries.
Additionally, the statement noted that this meeting follows previous discussions held in Amman on July 19, 2025, which aimed to solidify the ceasefire in the Sweida province of southern Syria and address the crisis in that area.
Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, will also engage in bilateral discussions with Shabaan and Barak.
