Literature Under Examination at Mohammed bin Rashid Library in May

The Mohammed bin Rashid Library is set to host a variety of cultural events throughout May, providing an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn and discover new tools and skills that enhance their knowledge and talents.

Kicking off the program, the library will hold a literary critique session titled “Literature Under the Microscope: Engaging Young Minds,” featuring a selection of esteemed critics and authors.

This session aims to highlight notable winners of major literary awards from 2025 in the young adult literature category, focusing on the novel “Overdose” by author Haya Saleh.

As part of its community engagement initiatives, the library will conduct an inspiring workshop called “Today’s Youth: The Core of Family and Strength of Society,” led by Hamsa Ahmed. This workshop seeks to empower young individuals and enhance their role in constructing strong families and a cohesive community, engaging a group of ambitious youth, educators, and parents.

Additionally, under the theme “The Role of Community Action in Improving Mental Health,” the library, in collaboration with Al Jalila Hospital, will host a specialized lecture featuring several experts in psychological and social fields. This discussion will emphasize the importance of community solidarity in fostering mental health and emotional balance.

The library will also organize an interactive workshop titled “Crafting an Impactful and Persuasive Speech,” led by trainer Saif Al Mazrouei. Continuing its commitment to supporting emerging literary talents, the library will host a special reading evening that brings together several promising writers to discuss and sign their new publications.
