Her Highness Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Council for Education, Human Development, and Community, emphasized the importance of education as the academic year commences. She stated that through knowledge and determination, excellence can be achieved, paving the way for a promising future for the UAE.
Furthermore, she encouraged students to make the most of their time by engaging in learning, research, reading, and critical thinking. She urged them to take pride in their Arabic language, which serves as a foundation of national identity, and to use artificial intelligence and social media responsibly and intelligently, reflecting their awareness, ethics, and authentic Emirati values.
She also called on parents, teachers, and school and university administrations to enhance collaboration to create a balanced educational environment that develops students’ abilities, instills self-confidence, and fosters a sense of responsibility toward their country. Her Highness urged all educational stakeholders to nurture the ambitions and talents of both young men and women, enabling them to be active contributors to the UAE’s future, furthering its reputation in the fields of knowledge and development, in line with the vision of our wise leadership that prioritizes education and human development in its strategic plans.
