Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Supports Scientific Research in Egypt

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt has launched an initiative called “One Million Innovative Qualifiers,” in collaboration with an international coalition including the United Nations Development Programme, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).

This initiative serves as a key mechanism for implementing the national presidential initiative “Alliance and Development,” providing high-quality training opportunities for Egyptian youth and learners.

Leveraging the “Future Skills Academy,” a prominent program within the knowledge project, the initiative offers specialized educational pathways that align innovation with labor market demands.

During the launch event, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, highlighted the main objectives and phases of the initiative, indicating its alignment with the goals of the “Alliance and Development” presidential initiative.

In a recorded message, Dr. Salem Ben Mohammed Al-Malik, the Director-General of ICESCO, stated that the initiative represents an open call for pure dreams, a burning determination, and a passionate mindset for change, aiming to equip youth with the tools for the future and keys to leadership.

Dr. Abdullah Dardari, the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Director of the UNDP Regional Office for Arab States, emphasized that the “One Million Innovative Qualifiers” initiative is not merely a training project, but a clear call to action. Similarly, Jamal Ben Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, noted that studies indicate over 50% of today’s workforce will need to reskill in the coming years.
