Dubai Appoints New Judges at Ceremony
In a formal gathering at the “Al-Muhais” council of the Union House in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of 35 new judges appointed to the Dubai Courts.
Sheikh Mohammed extended his best wishes to the newly appointed judges, emphasizing the importance of their noble duties in upholding justice and ensuring fairness among individuals. He highlighted the necessity of adhering to the values of honor and integrity, which are fundamental to the judiciary and its mission.
He reiterated that an independent and fair judiciary is the cornerstone of societal stability and cohesion, serving as the first line of defense for protecting rights and preserving human dignity. The Ruler underscored the critical role judges play in upholding the rule of law, reinforcing justice principles, and supporting the nation’s development. According to him, a judge, through fair rulings and just words, contributes not only to resolving disputes but also to fostering a community that believes in justice and thrives under the law.

Notable attendees of the oath-taking ceremony included His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director of the Office of the Ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the Dubai Judicial Council, along with His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts, and His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Sabousi, Secretary-General of the Dubai Judicial Council.
