Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, declared that the Day of the Union marks the occasion when the founders reached an agreement on the constitution and document of the federation. It signifies the unification of hearts around the concept of union and the alignment of energies and resources towards realizing the greatest unifying idea seen in the contemporary Arab world.
In a message shared on the platform X, he stated, “The Day of the Union is when the founders agreed on the document and constitution of the federation, and where hearts united under the idea of union. It is a day that represents a collective commitment to harnessing our energies and resources to build this remarkable concept of unity. Today, we renew our pledge to continue this journey with the same spirit, determination, and global aspirations for the future.”
