Nahyan Bin Mubarak: The Participation of “Nation’s Fund” at “Abu Dhabi Book Fair” as a Platform to Strengthen Identity

His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the National Fund, emphasized that the fund’s participation in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair embodies the vision of our wise leadership, which recognizes the significance of culture and knowledge in shaping individuals and communities.

He stated, “Through this participation, we aim to deepen the awareness of Emirati identity in the hearts of every citizen and resident, while promoting its elements related to heritage, language, community values, loyalty to the nation, and allegiance to its leadership. We encourage all creatives and writers to collaborate with the National Fund in this endeavor.”

Efforts of Creatives

He highlighted that the National Fund’s pavilion seeks to unite the efforts of creatives, writers, thinkers, artists, and poets to reinforce the values of national identity and the Arabic language through various forms of artistic and literary expression.

His Excellency further explained that the participation of more than 30 Emirati, Arab, and international writers and creatives in the activities and programs of the National Fund’s pavilion plays a crucial role in delivering the pavilion’s message to visitors of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and the diverse audience of culture and knowledge, spanning all nationalities and ages. He reaffirmed the importance of knowledge in enhancing the elements and values of national identity, as well as the status of the Arabic language and its arts and literature among all demographics, especially the younger generations.

Open Dialogue

He pointed out that involving thinkers, authors, and artists in open discussions with school students about these values can contribute to a brighter and more prosperous future for the UAE and the world at large. Engaging in discussions and participating in pioneering activities to develop ideas, knowledge, literature, and arts, while exchanging valuable information, has strengthened authentic human values, serving as a foundational pillar of national identity and paving the way for a better and more peaceful future for both the UAE and the world.
