Passengers aboard a JetBlue flight were taken to the hospital following a sudden drop in altitude while flying from Mexico, prompting an emergency landing in Florida on Thursday, as reported by officials.
The flight, which was traveling from Cancun to Newark, New Jersey, experienced an unexpected decrease in altitude. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that it is currently investigating the incident.
According to the FAA, the Airbus A320 was diverted to Tampa International Airport at around 2 PM.
As of now, the number of injuries and the severity of those injuries remain unclear.
