A 31-year-old man was saved by the City of Zayed Hospital in Abu Dhabi after experiencing a severe heart attack. The prompt response from the cardiology team, which included multiple resuscitation efforts and immediate intervention in the coronary artery, was critical in preserving his life.
Upon arrival at the hospital’s emergency department, the patient was suffering from intense chest pain and underwent an electrocardiogram. During the urgent catheterization procedure, the patient’s heart stopped multiple times. However, the rapid response team successfully performed several resuscitation attempts, reopened the blocked coronary artery, and restored normal blood flow to the heart.
