His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, led the weekly meeting of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah yesterday morning. The meeting took place in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, as well as His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, also Deputy Ruler and Vice President of the Executive Council.
During the meeting, the council discussed various governmental matters, reviewed performance reports from different departments and agencies, and assessed the progress of initiatives aimed at enhancing government services and improving the quality of life for residents and citizens of the emirate.
The council announced the appointment of Ayesha Rashid Al Hussain Al Shamsi as the Secretary-General of the Sharjah International Heritage Prize, in addition to her current duties.
Furthermore, the council was briefed on a presentation by the High Committee for Economic Integration regarding its efforts to advance the emirate’s economy in collaboration with relevant entities. This aims to propose economic initiatives that contribute to local growth, raise economic awareness across the emirate, and provide strategic economic data for analysis.
The presentation included key economic indicators that significantly contribute to ongoing economic growth and highlight opportunities for developing metrics that enhance growth and services available to investors through ambitious strategic plans across various advanced economic sectors.
The council also reviewed the results of the advertising campaign for the visual identity of Sharjah for 2023 – 2025, which focused on three main areas: culture, entertainment, and economy.
The campaign garnered millions of views and resulted in an increase in investment interest, an upswing in overall positive perception, website visits, and the use of the identity across different events and exhibitions in collaboration with governmental bodies.
