The media office of the Sharjah Government has announced the launch of the “Global Public Relations Challenge – Sharjah Edition” as part of the pre-events for the 14th International Government Communication Forum, which is scheduled to take place on September 10 and 11 at the Expo Centre in Sharjah, under the theme “Communication for Quality of Life”.
This challenge, being held for the first time in Sharjah, is a key innovative initiative in the field of communication. It will gather 20 students from both within the UAE and abroad to form 10 teams competing for the Sharjah Government Communication Award. The winning team will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to bring their idea to life.
The challenge is organized by the Sharjah Government Media Office in partnership with the International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO), in collaboration with the American University of Sharjah and the “Identity of Sharjah” campaign. Additionally, several other events are being organized, including the “University Challenge” in partnership with the United Arab Emirates University, the Sharjah Government Communication Award, and the “Artificial Intelligence Skills Challenge” in collaboration with the Quarter Century Centre for Science and Technology.
The aim of the challenge is to inspire creativity and innovation in developing sustainable communication solutions inspired by the “Identity of Sharjah” campaign, to address social, economic, environmental, and educational issues that contribute to enhancing quality of life, within a competitive environment overseen by a select group of experts and judges from the organizing and partnering entities.
In conjunction with the pre-events, the Quarter Century Centre for Science and Technology will host the “Artificial Intelligence Skills Challenge”, targeted at youths aged 10 to 16. Approximately 45 students will participate, working on developing smart solutions for contemporary issues such as food security, quality of life, and sustainability.
