The Dubai Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities has entered into a strategic collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government to launch the “Empowering Future Leaders – Second Tier” program. This partnership was marked by the attendance of Ahmad Darwish Al-Mahiri, the department’s Director General, and Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al-Falasi, Chair of the College’s Board of Trustees and Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department.
The program is designed to provide advanced leadership and decision-making skills to 60 participants from the department’s second-tier leaders. It will be delivered in Arabic through a comprehensive training program scheduled over two cohorts in 2025 and 2026. The initiative will leverage specialized academic and training expertise from the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, aimed at nurturing national leadership talents and enhancing their capacity to achieve proactive and visionary accomplishments across various sectors.
Dr. Ali bin Saba Al-Mari, Chief Executive Officer of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, stated that this strategic partnership exemplifies their strong belief that developing national competencies is not merely an option but a pressing national necessity dictated by contemporary requirements and fueled by the aspirations of the wise leadership to build a pioneering government model based on knowledge. This model is expected to drive change through qualified competencies, innovative visions, and effective applications.
He further emphasized that the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government is committed to designing educational and training programs that combine both practical and theoretical elements, adhering to the highest academic and professional standards. This approach aims to create a comprehensive development platform based on global best practices, offering a stimulating learning environment that merges strategic vision with real-world application, thus preparing participants to tackle management challenges with efficiency and flexibility.
Batty Abdullah Al-Jumairi, Executive Director of the Corporate Support Sector in the department, affirmed that this partnership represents a strategic step towards realizing the leadership’s vision of preparing a qualified national generation to lead the future. He noted that investing in national competencies is essential for sustaining government excellence and leadership.
Al-Jumairi added: “Our commitment to youth is significant; they are the essence of institutions and their vital energy. Supporting and empowering them is a national duty and a fundamental role for us as officials.”
