His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the Deputy Governor of Sharjah and Head of the Judiciary Council, met yesterday with Adnan Fanjari, the Minister of Justice of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
During the meeting, His Highness emphasized the strong fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt across various sectors, including judicial and legislative areas.
He expressed his eagerness to enhance collaboration between the Sharjah Judiciary Council and the Egyptian Ministry of Justice, tapping into Egypt’s rich judicial and legal expertise across different domains.
His Highness commended the significant efforts being made by the Egyptian Ministry of Justice to develop the judicial system and modernize legislation in line with contemporary requirements. He affirmed that these initiatives play a crucial role in fostering justice and bolstering public confidence in the judicial system.
The importance of exchanging judicial expertise and personnel between the two parties was also highlighted, as this would elevate the efficiency of judicial bodies and develop human capacities, reflecting the strong ties between the two brotherly nations and their mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation in various judicial and legal fields.
Following the meeting, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi toured the departments within the Ministry of Justice building, familiarizing himself with its specialized offices and modern service and technical facilities that support the judicial system’s functionality and enhance performance efficiency to meet the aspirations of the judicial framework in Egypt.
Additionally, His Highness visited the Islamic Cultural Center of Egypt, located in the New Administrative Capital, where he was welcomed by Dr. Osama El-Sayed Al-Azhari, the Egyptian Minister of Awqaf, Minister Adnan Fanjari, and Khalid Abbas, Chairman of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development.
His Highness praised the center’s leading services that reflect Egypt’s commitment to Islamic culture and its prominent role in promoting Islamic values and principles, which contribute to elevating the place of the true religion on both regional and international levels.
He also admired the unique designs that blend heritage and architectural creativity, in addition to the distinguished religious facilities included within the center.
Sheikh Sultan then proceeded to the House of the Quran located beneath the square of the Mosque of Egypt, where he learned about the readers’ room that showcases personal collections of renowned Quran reciters in the country.
His Highness walked through the corridors adorned with Quranic verses leading to the Quran halls, which include 30 rooms dedicated to each part of the Holy Quran. He also visited the Mosque of Egypt, the largest mosque in the country and the third largest in the world.
