The Man Convicted of Attempting to Assassinate Trump in Florida Tries to Commit Suicide Following Sentencing

An individual found guilty of attempting to assassinate former U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida attempted to harm himself immediately after the verdict was delivered.

A jury comprised of five men and seven women reached a unanimous decision, declaring Ryan Roth guilty on all charges just two hours after deliberation.

As jury members were leaving the courtroom, Roth attempted to stab himself in the neck using a pen. Court marshals quickly intervened, restraining him and escorting him out of the courtroom.

During this intense moment, Roth’s daughter, Sarah Roth, began to cry out, expressing her love for her father and pleading with him not to do anything drastic. She insisted, “I love you, Dad, don’t do anything. I will get you out. He didn’t hurt anyone,” as her father was taken away.

Roth was brought back before the judge, appearing without a tie and jacket, but in handcuffs, and there were no visible bloodstains on his shirt. The judge scheduled Roth’s sentencing for December 8 at 9:30 AM, where he faces a life imprisonment sentence.
