The sixth edition of the national safety and security campaign at fuel stations for the year 2025 has concluded. This initiative was led by the Joint Committee for Safety and Security, under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, in collaboration with the General Command of Civil Defense from the Ministry of Interior, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC Distribution), Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC).
The campaign commenced on July 17, coinciding with “Safety Day at Fuel Stations,” celebrated annually on this date, promoting the theme “Safety is a Commitment, Not an Option.” This theme underscored the necessity of establishing preventive behaviors and correct procedures within fuel stations.
Throughout its six-week duration, the campaign witnessed significant engagement from various community segments, contributing notably to enhancing public awareness and adherence to guidelines. This reflects its importance in fostering a culture of safety and solid practices at fuel stations.
The campaign concluded with tangible results, indicating that public awareness levels surpassed 98%, as revealed by field and online surveys. The awareness messages reached diverse communities, including citizens and residents from various nationalities. Additionally, educational programs varied from hands-on field activities to innovative media campaigns across digital platforms, resulting in extensive and significant audience interaction.
Engineer Sherif Al-Ola, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, stated that over six consecutive years, the campaign has proven to be an effective platform for fostering positive behavioral changes in the community and enhancing individuals’ commitment to following guidelines and instructions.
