The Quran Academy in Sharjah Showcases Its Scientific Projects

The Sharjah Quran Authority is participating in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, where it presents its mission and academic vision aimed at enhancing Sharjah’s role in the service of the Quran and its sciences. Among its unique scientific projects is the “Symposium of Rhetorical Interpretation,” which has reached its third phase, comprising 22 volumes. This project has involved 40 scholars and has completed 22 Quranic parts, totaling 47 volumes thus far, with over 110,000 rhetorical titles included.

Additionally, the authority is working on a series of scientific projects, including compilations focused on specific readings of the Quran, with the first release titled “Qalon,” consisting of 10 volumes.

The “Symposium of Rhetorical Interpretation” is the first comprehensive encyclopedia dedicated to the rhetoric of the Quran in a detailed manner, employing a unique methodology that highlights the semantic distinctions between Quranic words. This project is based on primary interpretative and rhetorical linguistic sources. The compilation on specific reading methodologies is a specialized initiative in the field of Quranic readings, structured around three main branches, offering an elaborated method of a single report spread across more than 10 volumes. This includes a Quran annotated with brief explanations of the reading and a color-coded Quran designed according to the reading rules, along with a special attachment featuring diagrams related to the readings. The encyclopedic set mentions all schools of recitation without preference, allowing readers and their students the freedom to choose, ensuring the compilation caters to the entire community without excluding any recitation school.

The authority also showcases scientific extracts published by the Research and Studies Department to provide educational materials that facilitate the study of Quranic readings.

Visitors to the fair can take a virtual tour of seven Quranic museums, which display the history of the Quran’s writing, its sciences, and notable figures, along with the covering of the Kaaba. This tour also highlights the International Sharjah Electronic Recitation Center.
