The Security Industry Regulatory Authority, known as “SIRA,” has officially announced the commencement of the sixth season of the “Emirates of Safety” event. This year’s event is scheduled to take place from November 3 to November 6 at the Dubai Mall – Zabeel, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Council for Border and Port Security.
This significant event builds on the success of its five previous seasons, which garnered extensive community interaction. It underscores SIRA’s leadership role in enhancing security awareness and promoting a culture of safety within the community, while instilling values of collaboration and responsibility through challenges that test both mental and physical strength in a distinctive experience.
The sixth season of “Emirates of Safety” returns completely revamped, offering an exceptional community experience that blends challenge, interaction, and innovation, all set against an atmosphere that embodies cooperation and responsibility among community members.
Participation
This year’s sixth season features several noteworthy updates aimed at broadening participation and fostering a spirit of positive competition. Among the highlights are the introduction of three new community categories, allowing individuals of various ages and sectors to take part, thereby reinforcing the principles of inclusivity and community integration. These categories include Community Protectors, which recognizes both governmental and private security entities for their role in maintaining safety and stability within society, and Community Leaders, which encompasses both governmental and private organizations that support national initiatives and enhance societal development.
Additionally, there is a Community Spirit category that involves women and the general public, along with a Juniors category for individuals aged 16 to 20, emphasizing the importance of engaging youth and women in raising awareness and promoting a culture of safety.
A special Juniors category has been launched to empower young individuals and cultivate leadership and initiative among them, with three winning teams in each category this year rather than just one, acknowledging the diversity of performance and innovation.
To facilitate participation and team formation, team sizes have been reduced to four members instead of seven. Moreover, there will be 11 team challenges, along with two individual challenges available to all visitors and participants, providing an interactive experience that integrates both physical and mental agility.
This year’s edition presents an innovative field experience that merges modern technology with realistic scenarios simulating daily challenges in the realms of safety and security, aiming to strengthen behavioral awareness and empower individuals as active contributors to community safety.
Partnership
The event is officially organized and supported by the Security Industry Regulatory Authority, in partnership with Dubai Mall – Emaar, and enjoys the backing of several strategic partners who are instrumental to the event’s success. This season is also supported by a distinguished group of sponsors contributing their expertise in training, technology, and safety.
Alongside the Emirates of Safety festivities, a special artistic event titled “Our Community, Our Pride” will take place, highlighting the creative and humanistic aspects of the event. The exhibition will feature artistic pieces that depict portraits of leaders from the UAE, created using mosaic patterns formed from images of competing teams and the Emirates of Safety audience, producing a national artwork that unites the concepts of leadership and community.
The Emirati artist Maitha Abdullah Al Rumithi will also participate with a dedicated photographic exhibition documenting the characteristics of generations in the UAE, from children to the elderly, in a visual narrative that emphasizes the spirit of identity and national belonging, reflecting the message of Emirates of Safety in celebrating community and its core values.
