Trump: Recognizing a Palestinian State Would Be a Significant Reward for Hamas

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump stated that recognizing a Palestinian state would be a significant reward for Hamas, reiterating his call for the release of hostages currently held by the group in Gaza, both alive and deceased.

Trump urged for an immediate end to the conflict in Gaza. In a speech delivered at the United Nations, he mentioned, “Those who advocate for peace must unite in demanding the release of the captives.”

He further remarked, “Certain members of this body, the United Nations, are pushing for unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state, as if they are promoting the continuation of the conflict. This would provide substantial incentives for Hamas for their brutal actions.”

He spoke about his efforts to “bring an end to the war in Gaza,” along with striving to conclude “seven wars” around the globe, claiming that he deserves a “Nobel Peace Prize.”

Trump also commented on the ongoing Russian war in Ukraine, stating that it “tarnishes Russia’s image,” noting that “thousands of young soldiers are dying each week.”

He called on European nations to “immediately stop” purchasing oil from Russia, accusing China and India of being the largest financiers of the conflict in Ukraine.

He concluded with, “They must cease all energy purchases from Russia right away; otherwise, we are all wasting a great deal of time.”
