U.S. Suspends Visas for Arrivals from Gaza Until Further Notice

The United States has suspended the entry of individuals from the Gaza Strip through visitor visas until further notice.

The U.S. Department of State announced via platform “X” that “all visitor visas for individuals from Gaza will be halted until a comprehensive review of the processes and procedures for issuing limited temporary humanitarian medical visas in recent days is conducted.”

According to the New York Times, this type of visa has recently been utilized in the United States for treating critical cases, including young children.

The government did not specify how many of these visas had been issued recently, and it remained unclear whether the suspension applied solely to new applications or also affected already granted visas.

The State Department stated it has begun to suspend all visitor visas for individuals arriving from Gaza. They added that this decision was made while conducting “a comprehensive review of the processes used in recent days to issue a small number of temporary visas for medical and humanitarian purposes.”

The U.S.-based organization “Palestine Children’s Relief Fund” has urged the administration to “reconsider this dangerous and inhumane decision.”

In a statement, the charity noted that they have facilitated the transfer of thousands of Palestinian children to the U.S. for medical care over the past 30 years.

The statement further emphasized that “medical evacuations serve as a lifeline for children in Gaza, who would otherwise face unimaginable suffering or death due to the collapse of medical infrastructure in the region.”

This is not the first time that the administration has taken actions based on campaigns initiated by Loomer.

In late July, following a report from Loomer, the Department of Defense fired a senior official at the West Point Military Academy.

In April, Loomer stated after meeting with Trump that National Security Agency Director Timothy Hogan and his aide Wendy Noble were dismissed for their “disloyalty” to the president.

At that time, Trump acknowledged that he listened to Loomer, whom he described as a “great patriot,” adding that she “provides recommendations, and sometimes I consider those recommendations… she always has something to say, and it is usually constructive.
