UAE Participation in BRICS Youth Summit in Brazil

The UAE participated in the “BRICS Youth Summit” in Brazil, along with delegations from member states and partners from the Global South, to discuss ways to enhance the role of youth in achieving sustainable development and contributing to decision-making at the global level.

Khalid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, led the UAE delegation to the summit, which included a group of young national talents.

Commenting on the participation, Khalid Al Nuaimi stated that the UAE has adopted a approach in line with the directives of the wise leadership to empower youth and provide supportive environments to enhance their active participation in the global development process. This reflects the absolute belief that youth are the main drivers of change, through developing their skills, engaging them in national and international policy-making, and enhancing their presence in influential positions.

He emphasized that participation in the “BRICS Youth Summit” presents an exceptional opportunity to build cooperation bridges between youth in the Global South, enhance political awareness, support leadership initiatives, empower youth in innovation and entrepreneurship, especially in the fields of green economy and digital technologies, contributing to achieving comprehensive development and building a more sustainable future for all communities around the world.
