The National Center of Meteorology has announced that the region will be influenced by the extension of a surface and upper air low pressure system from the south between Wednesday, September 3, and Friday, September 5. This is accompanied by the movement of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) from the south towards the region.
In its weather report, the center highlighted the influx of humid air masses from the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman, which is expected to lead to increased daytime temperatures. Isolated cumulus clouds are anticipated in various areas, particularly due to the presence of the eastern mountains.
The affected areas will include parts of the eastern and southern regions, extending into some internal areas. Cumulus clouds are expected to form, bringing varying intensities of rainfall, along with occasional lightning and thunder, as well as small hail, especially on Wednesday and Thursday.
Winds are forecasted to blow from the southeast to the northeast, with moderate speeds, occasionally becoming active or strong in the presence of cumulus clouds, creating conditions conducive to dust and sand rise. This may result in reduced horizontal visibility.
The sea conditions are expected to be mild to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
