The Emirati Red Crescent Authority, the humanitarian arm of the UAE, has formally signed a memorandum of understanding with Al Jalila Foundation, the charitable arm of Dubai Healthcare, aimed at bolstering their partnership in the healthcare sector, along with supporting education and medical research.

This initiative stems from both organizations’ commitment to establishing institutional partnerships that enhance their contribution to community service, promote charitable and humanitarian work, and instill values of national loyalty and belonging, while also raising community awareness regarding health and volunteerism across the nation.

The memorandum is designed to support the UAE Government’s strategy in promoting corporate social responsibility and enhancing collaboration for a better future in humanitarian efforts. Additionally, it aims to solidify the sustainability of giving as one of the core tenets of charitable work in the country.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Red Crescent Authority, and Dr. Amer Al Zarouni, Executive Director of Al Jalila Foundation, who outlined the frameworks for future cooperation and coordination.

Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei emphasized that this signing reflects the Red Crescent’s commitment to establishing effective partnerships with health institutions in the country, which significantly contributes to the development of their healthcare initiatives.

He noted that this move represents a significant advancement in collaboration efforts, opening up extensive opportunities to serve the beneficiaries of the Red Crescent’s programs. This partnership embodies shared values and principles that both parties aim to instill, reinforcing community solidarity and ensuring a better future for deserving groups.

Dr. Amer Al Zarouni commented that this strategic partnership with the Emirati Red Crescent illustrates the shared commitment to improving the quality of healthcare and advancing scientific research in the country. He expressed hope that this collaboration will allow for the expansion of their charitable and medical initiatives to better serve underprivileged communities.

He further added that the foundation believes that working alongside leading institutions like the Red Crescent enhances its ability to fulfill its humanitarian mission and broadens the scope of healthcare services provided by Al Jalila Foundation.
