Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to Welcome Fans from 105 Nations

Preparations are in full swing as the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix approaches, set to take place from December 4-7. With only 10 days left until the event, excitement is building among fans and teams alike.

Following Max Verstappen’s recent victory and McLaren’s disqualification in Las Vegas, the championship is poised for an intense three-way battle. Currently, Lando Norris leads with just 24 points separating him from Oscar Piastri and Verstappen. With 58 points still available, the Yas Marina Circuit may very well host the decisive moments of this thrilling season.

As the event draws closer, final preparations are being made throughout Yas Island. All 10 F1 teams, 20 drivers, and numerous performers are set to converge in the UAE, enhancing the scale of the occasion. Last year, approximately 192,000 fans attended over four days, and estimates suggest that attendance may exceed this figure in 2025. Fans are expected to come from 105 different countries, underscoring the global appeal of the Grand Prix.

Organizers Ethara are confident that this year’s event will solidify the Grand Prix’s status as a premier sporting attraction in the region. Saif Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, emphasized the significance of the event in the sporting calendar, highlighting a commitment to increased fan engagement and entertainment. The 2025 edition promises to deliver even more thrilling experiences both on and off the track.

Yas Island is abuzz with activity as hundreds of specialists work tirelessly to prepare the 5.28 km track and surrounding facilities. Over 40,000 individuals are involved in various aspects of the event, from constructing temporary structures to managing customer service operations. This level of dedication highlights the importance of the Grand Prix to the local economy and infrastructure.

This year’s entertainment lineup is the most ambitious yet, featuring eight international artists headlining the Yasalam. Fans can look forward to performances by Benson Boone, Post Malone, Elyanna, Metallica, and Katy Perry at Etihad Park, along with After-Parties featuring Calvin Harris, Idris Elba, and Keinemusik.

Moreover, this iteration of the Grand Prix signifies progress toward sustainability goals. The event aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030 and to transition to 100% renewable energy by 2035. Notably, single-use plastics are being eliminated in favor of sustainable alternatives, with free water stations available to attendees.

As the countdown continues, anticipation grows among fans and participants preparing to witness a memorable finale to the F1 season in Abu Dhabi.
