Al-Nassr Sets New Club Record with 14th Straight Victory Thanks to Ronaldo

Leaders Al-Nassr achieved a remarkable feat in the Saudi Pro League by securing their longest winning streak in history with a 2-0 win against Al-Akhdoud. This match, held on Saturday, featured goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Felix, marking a significant milestone for the team.

With this victory, Al-Nassr solidified their position at the top of the league standings, amassing 73 points from 28 games. They now hold a five-point lead over second-placed Al-Hilal, with only six matches remaining in the season.

The win also marked Al-Nassr’s 14th consecutive victory, surpassing their previous record set during the 2013-2014 season, as noted on the Pro League’s official website. The achievement underscores the team’s dominance in the current campaign.

Ronaldo was instrumental, scoring the opening goal in the 15th minute. His close-range strike was his 24th goal of the season, putting him just three behind the league’s top scorer, Ivan Toney of Al-Ahli. This performance has further cemented Ronaldo’s reputation as a key player for Al-Nassr.

The second goal came shortly after the break, with Joao Felix finding the net just two minutes into the second half. He capitalized on a rebound following a header from Kingsley Coman that hit the post, showcasing Al-Nassr’s attacking prowess.

This streak not only highlights the team’s current form but also sets a high bar as they aim to finish the season strong. With a comfortable lead in the standings and a record-breaking run, Al-Nassr looks poised to maintain their momentum through the final stages of the season.
