Arteta Claims Thrashing Spurs Rescued Arsenal from Title Struggles

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and acclaimed director Priyadarshan are set to return to the silver screen together after a 16-year hiatus with their upcoming film, Bhooth Bangla. The excitement surrounding this collaboration has intensified following the release of the film’s motion poster, featuring Kumar in a striking pose. However, the poster’s design has drawn comparisons to the duo’s previous hit, Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

In the recently shared motion poster, Akshay Kumar is depicted seated regally on a throne, dressed in a traditional dhoti and accessorized with a rudraksha mala. The throne itself is embellished with demonic carvings, adding an eerie ambiance. Kumar’s post on social media teased fans with the release date, stating, “Dus ko denge das-tak, intezar karo tab tak… Let the fun begin! #BhoothBangla in cinemas on 10th April 2026.”

Audience reactions to the motion poster were immediate and enthusiastic. Many fans noted striking resemblances to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, with comments highlighting phrases like, “this looks like the Bhool Bhulaiyaa of the rich” and “real Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.” Fans reminisced about the nostalgia associated with Kumar and Priyadarshan’s earlier collaborations, hoping that this new project could replicate the success of their past films.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa, released in 2007, was a psychological horror-comedy directed by Priyadarshan. It was a remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu and starred a talented ensemble including Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The film, produced on a budget of ₹32 crore, grossed ₹82.84 crore globally and has since garnered a cult following. Its memorable performances and engaging storyline contributed to its legacy, although subsequent sequels featured a different lead, Kartik Aaryan.

Bhooth Bangla promises to blend elements of horror and comedy, continuing the creative partnership between Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar, and veteran actor Paresh Rawal. With a release date set for April 10, 2026, the film aims to entertain audiences with its unique premise and star-studded cast, which also includes Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav.

In addition to Bhooth Bangla, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are working on another project titled Haiwaan, which will feature Saif Ali Khan in a prominent role. While production on this film has been completed, its release date has yet to be announced. Additionally, fans can look forward to another installment of the beloved Hera Pheri franchise, reuniting Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal for an anticipated comedic return to the big screen.
