The tragic passing of Shefali Jariwala, known as the ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’, has deeply affected her loved ones, fans, and the entertainment community. Shefali died at the age of 42, leaving her husband, Parag Tyagi, devastated. Her last rites were conducted on June 28, 2025, in Mumbai, attended by family members including her father and sister.

Recently, Parag Tyagi resurfaced on television after an eight-month hiatus following his wife’s death. He announced his return on February 1, 2026, via Instagram, providing a sneak peek into his new project titled Chandanbala alongside a heartfelt message.

The response from netizens to Parag’s announcement has been overwhelmingly positive. In the comments section, friends and fans extended their well-wishes, with Aarti Singh expressing support and fans highlighting Shefali’s enduring presence in Parag’s life. One comment poignantly noted that Shefali would be proud of Parag’s progress.

Shefali Jariwala’s unexpected death on June 27, 2025, sent shockwaves throughout the industry. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital and was subsequently declared dead. Reports emerged that her sudden passing had left many celebrities, including Aarti Singh and Vikas Fhatak, in mourning.

In the wake of her death, various rumors circulated regarding potential medical causes. Some suggested that Shefali’s use of the diabetes medication Ozempic for weight loss was a factor, while others pointed to anti-aging treatments. Parag Tyagi addressed these speculations during an interview, emphasizing the misinformation circulating online.

He clarified that the claims about Ozempic in their household were misguided and encouraged others to seek the truth rather than contribute to unfounded rumors. He also assured that Shefali’s wellness regimen consisted of vitamins given through IV drip rather than medications of uncertain intent.

Contrary to some reports that claimed Shefali was fasting when she passed away, Parag recounted that she did eat after performing a ritual pooja that day. He implored people to refrain from spreading false narratives, reaffirming that Shefali was well-nourished before her untimely demise.

As Parag Tyagi prepares to make his television comeback, many are eager to see how he navigates this new chapter in his life. His return to the screen appears to be met with anticipation and support from the audience.
