Ben Sulayem Starts New Term as FIA President to Transform Formula 1

Actor Chitrangada Singh is set to star alongside Salman Khan in the upcoming film “Battle of Galwan.” In a recent interview, she shared her admiration for Khan, highlighting his authenticity in an industry often marked by pretense.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for “Shootout at Lokhandwala,” “Battle of Galwan” is a war drama inspired by the 2020 conflict between India and China. Singh emphasized that Khan embodies a rare quality—he is unapologetically himself. She noted, “He is very tuned into what his fans want him to be, and he is exactly what his fans love.” This authenticity, according to Singh, is a significant factor in his enduring popularity.

Singh appreciates how Khan avoids the need for act and effect, stating, “I’ve admired something about him. It’s very tough to do that. And I think that’s what his fans love him for because he is so real.” She believes his ability to remain genuine is commendable, especially within a film industry that often prioritizes appearance over authenticity.

Moreover, Singh praised Khan’s improvisational skills and his approach to acting. She described him as secure and open to experimentation, allowing scenes to evolve spontaneously. This natural fluidity in his performances contributes to a vibrant atmosphere on set, according to Singh. “He’s so secure; you could say anything and he loves to improvise,” she remarked, highlighting how much fun it is to collaborate with him.

In discussing their professional history, Singh revealed that they were previously slated to work together on a film that Khan intended to produce, a project that ultimately did not materialize. She recalled the details of a film involving Govinda that was set for production around 2016-17 but never progressed.

Currently, Singh is receiving praise for her role in “Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders,” where she stars alongside notable actors such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. This film has garnered attention, adding to her impressive portfolio.

“Battle of Galwan” is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026, and is expected to draw considerable interest due to its compelling subject matter and the star power of its cast.
