Dust and Wind Prompt Yellow Weather Alerts in the UAE as Visibility Decreases

Yellow weather warnings have been issued in various regions for dust, wind, and turbulent sea conditions. This alert, valid until 8:30 PM today, warns of fresh winds and choppy waters in the Oman Sea.

Additionally, another alert effective until 2 PM today has been issued due to dust that may impair horizontal visibility, accompanied by strong northwesterly winds and dangerously rough seas at times. Visibility could decrease to below 3000 meters on occasion.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the overall weather for April 17 is expected to be dusty with intermittent cloud cover. Winds will vary from moderate to fresh, reaching speeds of 15-30 km/h, potentially escalating to 50 km/h over the sea.

The temperature in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is predicted to rise to 32ºC, although it might dip to 25ºC in Abu Dhabi and 26ºC in Dubai, with interior areas experiencing lows around 18ºC.

Humidity levels are forecasted to be between 40% and 65% in Abu Dhabi, while in Dubai, they may range from 40% to 70%.

The weather pattern is influenced by a continuation of surface low pressure from the east and high pressure from the west, combined with a weak upper air low-pressure system, as detailed in the NCM forecast.
